What is the KC Nanobrew Festival and how does it work?
It’s the original festival in KC dedicated solely to local home brewing and giving the public a chance to see all the amazing brewing talent we have in our community. Our mission is to provide the best festival experience for the best price. Our admission includes unlimited tastings from over 300 unique home brewed beers, a full-size souvenir glass, food, and entertainment!

Where can I get tickets?

Rain or Shine?
Our festival is outdoors and will go on rain or shine. We will have large tents to shelter us from the elements. In a case of severe weather we advise our guests to have a plan in place. We will allow re-entry as long as you keep your wristbands on.

Do I need an ID?
Yes. Valid photo identification is required for admission to the event.

Do you have a Designated Driver Ticket program?
Yes, the DD program is available for attendees. Just select the Designated Driver ticket option when purchasing tickets. DD tickets include admission and water only. Food is still available for purchase.

Can I drink alcohol with the Designated Driver ticket?
NO. Water is the only thing included in the price of the Designated Driver ticket. We will have security walking the premises and if a designated driver is seen drinking alcohol they will be removed from the event.

I can’t make it. Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, please contact us at info@kcnanobrews.com.

Can I be a vendor/sponsor?
Yes. Vendor/Sponsorships are available via email or from our website. Click the ‘Join our sponsors’ link or email us at info@kcnanobrews.com for more info.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
No. Outside food and beverage will not be allowed into the event. After all, we are going to provide plenty of opportunities to try great food and drink while you’re here!

Is food included in my ticket price?
You will receive one $5 food voucher per admission. They are only redeemable at one of the food trucks participating during festival hours. The value of the ticket is $5. If the meal is priced higher than that you will need to pay the additional cost.

Can I purchase more food?
Yes!  If you are still hungry you’ll be able to purchase additional food from the food trucks.

Will a vegetarian option be available?
Yes! We will work with our vendors to ensure that there is an option for vegetarians.

Is water included in the price of the ticket?
Yes, stay hydrated!

Do you accept credit card payments at the gate for admission to the festival?
We cannot commit to selling tickets at the gate. Tickets should be purchased in advance and all of our previous events have sold out, so get your tickets early!

Can I buy additional festival t-shirts and glasses?
It is not guaranteed, but we might have some limited quantities of glasses and t-shirts available the day of the festival. Cash and card accepted.

Can I bring my children?
This is a 21 and over event. While we don’t recommend bringing children to an event focused on adult drinking, they are welcome to tag along if needed.  We do not have any activities available for children.

Is the event handicap accessible?

Can I leave my car overnight?
Maybe. Please make sure you are parked legally! KC Nanobrews, LLC is not responsible for your car or any of your belongings.

Will there be Taxis available after the event?
Sign up for über using our exclusive referral link and get $5 off your first three rides!  We have alerted the local cab companies that our event is taking place and they will be on hand as available. If a cab is not immediately available, we can assist you in securing a cab or car service. Your safety is important to us, so please drink responsibly, plan for transportation ahead of time, or call uber or Yellow Cab (816.471.5000) to pick you up.

Can I bring my own chairs and blankets?
Yes. Although we will have tables and chairs available, the park has extensive green space and some picnic tables are available.

How can I be a brewer at the festival?
Join our Facebook group page to stay updated and receive information regarding brewer sign-ups.

Can I volunteer at the KC Nanobrew Festival?
Thanks for the offer! We will post when sign ups are available. Please join our group page and festival page to watch for updates.

Why is the glass so big?
We have always provided a full-size glass with our event because we want you to go home with a great souvenir. As a reminder, this is a beer tasting event, not a beer drinking event.  Regardless of glass size we will only fill the glass with a 2 oz. pour to encourage you to sample all the different beers.

If I drop my glass can I get a new one?
We understand accidents can happen, but full size glassware is more expensive and our order is strictly based on the number of attendees. Please understand that we might not be able to replace it. We will supply you with an alternative cup for the remainder of the event and if we have extras when the festival is over we will be happy to give you a new one.

Can a brewer run out of beer?
Yes. These are home brewers that make small batches of unique beers. We strictly cap our attendance based on the number of beers we plan to have on tap in an effort to try and prevent this, but a certain beer may be overly popular with the festival crowd. Luckily, there will be hundreds of beers to sample. If you miss a popular beer there are plenty of others to try. Hopefully you’ll discover a new one you like!

Can I bring marketing materials or sell stuff?
No. Unapproved marketing will not be allowed at the KC Nanobrew Festival.

What if someone is intoxicated?
All guests of the KC Nanobrew Festival are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe, responsible means of transportation before leaving the facility. Any guest who is intoxicated before entering the event may be denied entry to the facility. Any guest found intoxicated within the event and causing a disturbance, as determined by management, will be asked to leave the facility without refund and may be subject to further consequences.
